Maison de la Magie

In front of the Royal 'Chateau' of Blois sits the 'Maison de la Magie'. This Museum is dedicated to one of the best magician of all times, the Blois born Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin (1805-1871) who inspired the great Houdini himself (note the similarity in name) The museum displays automatons from the XIX century, a collection of magic objects and clocks and interactive attractions. Magic shows are performed in the 400 seats theatre inside the Museum on a regular basis.

Further a field

You can take a day trip into Paris from Blois, Tours or Vendome Gare travelling on the TGV taking about an hour each way. Disneyland Paris east of Paris is about a two hour drive from the chateau. Futuroscope is a very famous French theme park located about 20 minutes north of Poitiers about an hour and a half drive from Chateau du Guerinet.
