ARRIVING BY CAR
To drive to Chateau du Guerinet from the main Channel ports (e.g. Calais)
takes about 5 hours and all but the last 15 minutes is on motorways. The
route is straightforward. You can go via Paris or via Rouen, Le Mans and
the newly extended A28 which is brand new and hardly used as it is only
on the most recent maps.

Directions from Blois/Orleans/Paris:
Take the A10 autoroute and exit junction 17 for Blois.
Blois is a little tricky. You want to head towards the centre and then towards West Blois (Ouest Blois).
Follow the signs into the Centre Ville. As you get closer into the old centre and the chateau you enter a one way traffic system. Keep heading into the centre until you enter this one way system, you go down a hill and then you start climbing up again. You will come to an intersection almost T shaped. If you can you want the middle lane. On the right there will be a sign to the Gare train station. Straight across from the lights is the Banque de France building and on the left is a car park and gardens. Turn left at this set of traffic lights and take the right lane, still following the signs to the centre ville. In a very short distance is another set of traffic lights. You can not go straight ahead as there is one way traffic coming from the other direction. Do not go left - Left will take you down the hill past the Vinci car Park and the chateau. If you go past the Vinci car park you have gone too far and you will have to do the circle again. At the intersection at the top at the traffic lights you need to turn right into Gambetta Avenue a one way street. Follow this to the next set of traffic lights, Head across the traffic lights over a railway bridge until you reach a round about (2 minutes).
At the roundabout (the Medici roundabout) take the 4th exit for Chateau Renault (Route de Chateau-Renault). Follow this to the next roundabout (3 minutes). Take the third round about exit marked Chateaurenault D766.
Follow this through the Domaniale Nationale Foret de Blois for 15 minutes. Drive through Moulineuf, and Orchaise and head towards Herbault - all on the D766.
About 2 minutes out of Orchaise in the direction of Herbault on the D766 you will see a forest on the left. Look for the white sign "Le Guerinet". It is a small sign about the size of a car registration plate. This is the main drive. Turn left. If you miss this driveway take the next left (just before the SITA sign on the opposite side of the road). This second driveway is our service entrance. Either entrance is fine. Drive down past all of the outbuildings to the chateau. Drive up to the front doors.
If you miss junction 17 for Blois just drive up to Exit 18 for Chateaurenault and exit there.
Directions from Tours / Exit 18 Chateaurenault
On the A10 take Exit 18 Chateaurenault.
From the peage it is 15 minutes and 5 right turns until you reach the chateau.
At the A10 exit turn right onto the D31 go over the road bridge over the A10 and take the first right D73 after 1 minute to Morand. In Morand turn right towards St Nicholas des Motets - do not go straight on to Chateaurenault. Drive until you reach the D766 (another five minutes). Turn right drive through Herbault and continue along the D766 towards Orchaise.
2 kilometres past Herbault you need to turn right into the forest. Take the next right after the SITA sign (the right entrance immediately opposite the SITA sign is our service entrance - the next entrace at the white sign marked Le Guerinet is our main entrance. (hard for you to see at night coming from Herbault as it is on the right of the lane). Follow either drive and drive up to the front of the chateau.
