Breakfast is taken outside, to allow our guests to enjoy the morning sunshine.

We provide a continental breakfast, fresh croissants and french bread and homemade jams, as well as yoghurt and cereals, and fresh fruit.

Breakfast is normally served between 8:00 - 10:00, but early departures can be accommodated.

Table d’hôtes

Table d’hôtes is a traditional service, where food is served to our guests only and this allows us to offer the highest standards of fresh food in a lovely intimate relaxed atmosphere. Guests are able to arrange for meals in advance, when they book their rooms, or alternatively, we ask that you notify us on the morning of the day you wish to dine.

The evening meal is a set menu changing daily served at one sitting. We serve local produce where possible. Luckily, the Loire Valley and the Centre region have a fantastic gourmet tradition with fabulous wines. The style of cooking at the chateau is French but not fussy as we prefer to let the quality of our ingredients shine though.

A typical meal consists of five courses and wine, followed by coffee.  Please let us know in advance if you have any particular dietary requirements including food allergies, or if there is something special you would like.

The Loire Valley region is known as “the Garden of France”, it produces fruit, vegetable and wines. Wild mushrooms are grown in the caves of Saumur and regional dishes include rillettes, andouillettes and tarte Tatin named after the Tatin sisters who ran a restaurant near Orléans at the beginning of the twentieth Century. The region also produces fine goat’s cheeses including Crottin de Chavignol.

On warm evenings dinner is best enjoyed outside on the terrace, however in cooler weather, you can relax in the elegance of our dining room beside a roaring fire.

We do not offer Table d'hôte evening meals on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There are however many local restaurants that we would be more than happy to recommend.

Children under 12 can eat earlier at 6.00 p.m.
